Don’t Kill that Spider

The spider at first tends to scare me.
Running across the floor, creeping slowly
down the wall, or just still in the middle
of its web.

The spider then reminds me of its great
duties. It plays in this world for all of us
to see. Keeping the air free of the house
fly that bugs me.

I then begin to thank the spider
instead of trying to figure out the
quickest way to rid or kill it. I stand
back and just admire the tiny little spider.
